The innocence of youth is one of my favourite things to photograph, I love that slightly awkward in between bit where a young person is becoming more independent, they know what they like and what they don’t and their personalities really shine. I love being a child photographer based in Lincolnshire as we are so lucky to have some really great locations perfect for beautiful child photography right on our doorstep.

A ‘Becoming’ photo shoot is all about celebration. They can be fun, silly, moody and cool all rolled into one! The essence of your shoot will be about matching the location to your personality; I want to shoot your child or teenager in a location they love, feel comfortable in and that is reflective of their personality. If your little boy loves to find bugs, get dirty and climb trees then let’s head to the woods! If your teenage princess wants to look like she’s stepped out of her favourite magazine or TV show then let’s get her dolled up and take a trip to the nearest stately home! When using natural locations over a studio the possibilities really are endless.

I don’t take myself seriously at all, I love to laugh and be silly which helps me put my subject at ease and create lots of natural pictures. I tailor my approach to the person I am photographing; if I can tell a child isn’t comfortable in front of the camera I will be their friend, do what they’re doing and have fun myself, gradually building the camera into the fun without them even noticing. If a teen wants a shoot with a fashion edge and wants to look good I can give direction and let them know they are doing a fantastic job and look great.

The style of my child and teen photography is very much focused on creating and capturing candid moments; playing, laughing, having fun and being young – anything and everything that really brings out your child’s personality. I also like to capture beautiful, soft portraits that you can treasure forever and give to Grandma and Grandad for the mantelpiece. As they say, the eyes are the windows to the soul, and this is never more true than in the portrait of a child or teen; they change every day and feel such a range of emotions in such a short space of time that it is an honour for me to capture images that freeze that moment in their life forever.

PRICING

My pricing is simple; your shoot is £85 which includes reasonable travel from Lincoln and 10 high resolution files for you to download from your own secure, password protected gallery. Additional images are available at £5 per file and I also offer a range of products including albums, prints and wall art and I will happily work with you at no extra charge to provide a work of art to best tell your story. I like to set aside at least half a day to ensure your shoot doesn’t feel rushed and so that everyone involved has a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
